Meet the team behind the mag
We have a growing number of people involved in putting together the magazine but thankfully they are all fun loving wine loving happy smiley people.

Kevin - entrepreneur or eejit? The jury is out on that question. Having fallen for the love of a good wine and with a determination to ensure others follow suit, the idea was tabled at the [now] mywinespace board meetings in the curry house on a Friday night. A lover of almost any wines, developing a particular soft spot for Central Otago Pinot Noir and dessert wines. Disliking overly alcoholic overly oaked vino. His quote: "it doesn't matter whether the glass is half full or half empty as long as it's very big and has wine in it." |

Kate - creative geniusThe woman who creates the masterpiece out of a mess the reason the magazine looks so flash is because of her. An avid wine lover who has [rumour has it] bought a house because it was across the road from her favourite wine shop, you have to admire her dedication. A lover of bold punchy whites such as Viognier but shys away from young, tannic or heavy reds. Will gladly accept bottles of d'Arenberg Hermt Crab Viognier or Wither Hills Pinot Noir from anyone who wishes to rewards her creativity! |

Holly the wine swotThe girl is a seasoned professional within the wine trade and knows her stuff. She's a big chunk of the brains behind the facts and figures. Oh and she likes her wine [you may have guessed that from the picture]. She likes Chardonnay but generally the posher white Burgundy stuff, and also likes Australian Viognier. Not a fan of cheap over sugared Californian reds or Roses, cheap Pinot Grigio or bad South African Pinotage. |

Annie - vocal criticImpeccible taste in men [recently] and pretty good taste in wine too, Annie knows what she likes and says it as it is. Not a big fan of hugely tannic wines, tends to opt for more structured and layered tipples including Carmenere [a good one is hard to find], Pinot Noir, [New World more so than Old], top end Zinfandel and zingy New Zealand Sav Blancs. Heavy oaked Chardonnays are a no no and sparkling red is an offence to nature! |

Marion the MarketeerOur marketing genius behind this cutting edge venture and a bit of a fizz freak [even happy to drink Andrews liver salts]. Worringly also likes fizzy reds... Aside from bubbles, a big fan of Kiwi wines both red and white and becoming fond of good Italian wines. Sweet wines are generally a no-go area!

Our tame wine expert - The SwigOur latest addition to the team remains a mystery. We only know the Swig to be a 'she' having seen her go into the ladies at our local wine bar. Either she's a she or a pervert; given the outfit it's probably 50 / 50 now that we think about it. Some say she wasn't born but was a by product of a vine cloning experiment and that she smells slightly corked. All we know is that she's the Swig, she's all ours and she's very very good. |
Terry the wine catGiven many wineries have a dog, we thought it would be quirky to have a wine magazine cat. When Terry broke into our house [demolishing the previous owners cat flap in the process] and made himself very much at home, we should have known he was a handful. A complete disruption anytime we try to do anything on the computer he lies across the keyboard and shreds anyone who tries to type which is makign our life very difficult. But he's cute so he gets away with more than he should... |
